April 1 – Crescent City
A crescent moon quietly glows over the city of Duluth, where only a few residents are awake to enjoy it. Daylight hours now surpass night, and winter is giving up its strength to the incoming season.
The hour before sunrise (Blue Hour) is a magical time for photography. It is an excellent time for photographers to capture stunning images using natural light. Saturated colors magnify the beauty of creations, and calm winds add to the effect.
The blue hour occurs just before sunrise and just after sunset, when the sun is below the horizon but still casts its influence on the sky. The world shifts into deep cobalt and indigo tones.
- Harbor lights reflect like liquid stars
- Lift bridges glow against a cobalt sky
- Calm water becomes a mirror
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
For what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? Psalm 8
Each day is a gift from the One who made all things!
