February 10 – Moonrise Through the Bridge
A full moonrise is always spectacular, especially on crisp February nights along the harbor. On this evening, the full moon rose right on schedule, drifting upward through the iconic frame of the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge — a perfectly timed alignment between earth and sky. As darkness settled in, distant stars and planets took their places in the night sky, quietly.
February’s full moon is known as the Snow Moon, a fitting name for this season of stillness and reflection. Moments like this remind me why winter photography in the Northland is so rewarding.
God does His part to make this temporary home breathtaking, while we get to watch the seasons pass by.
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’” — Matthew 25:21
Thank You, Lord — the master craftsman of the universe — for allowing us to witness such beauty.
