April 5 – Split Rock Seascape

Lake Superior is alive in this scene at Split Rock Beach. While the calendar says April, the sun is shining with summer-like intensity.

The water is a stunning emerald green, rolling over the rocks in a breathtaking display of power. The combination of the roaring waves and the warm sun creates a moment worth pausing for.

These rolling waves are a picture of time itself—perpetually moving, never still. As the seasons of nature change, so do the seasons of our lives.

“You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.” — Psalm 89:9

God’s power is evident in this crashing water, but so is His care. Just as the waves never stop, His love sweeps over us faithfully in every season.
