Nature’s Revelations
Flowing Through the Seasons
Hello, I’m Dennis O’Hara.
In 1992, I began sharing photographs of Duluth and the Lake Superior region through Northern Images. What started as a love of landscape and light gradually became something deeper. Over more than three decades behind the lens, I have come to see that creation does more than inspire — it reveals.
The sunrise over Lake Superior.
The hush of fresh snowfall in a pine forest.
The resilience of trees clinging to rock along the North Shore.
None of it is accidental. Each season carries testimony. Each detail reflects intention. The natural world quietly points beyond itself.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” — Psalm 19:1
That growing awareness gave birth to Nature’s Revelations — Flowing Through the Seasons.
This 365-day devotional journey draws from my photographic archive, with each image captured on the same calendar day in a previous year. Every photograph is paired with Scripture and reflection, inviting you to pause, slow down, and consider what God may be revealing through the ordinary rhythms of life.
The turning of the seasons mirrors our own journey — stillness and storm, growth and rest, endurance and renewal. Along rocky shores, frozen harbors, quiet forests, and autumn trails, these patterns unfold year after year. Though the landscape changes, the faithfulness behind it does not.
While Northern Images showcases the beauty of the Northland, Nature’s Revelations explores the meaning within that beauty — the steady presence of a Creator whose design, order, and grace are woven into every season.
My hope is that these images lift your eyes, steady your heart, and remind you that even in change, there is constancy.
I’m grateful you’re here. Welcome.
