“April teaches the Northland to breathe again.”
April is a month of anticipation. One quarter of the year has already passed, and the seasons are gaining momentum. Though traces of winter may linger, change is unfolding day by day.
Soon, wildflowers will begin to emerge, waterfalls will surge with snowmelt, and the shoreline will glow beneath strengthening sunlight. Even before full bloom arrives, there is beauty to be found — mist rising at sunrise, longer golden evenings, and the growing warmth of the sun across the landscape. April invites us to look closely, to notice the quiet awakening happening all around us.
There is a hopeful expectancy woven into this month. What appears dormant is preparing for life.
“And He who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’” — Revelation 21:5
